Righteo.... I have been sunny it over on ED841 (Understanding Children's development and learning) at the OU and have completely neglected all forms of blogging. As I am now getting started once again back at MAODE (Online and Distance education), and as this is all about being a 'Networked Practitioner' I am taking up my blogging mantle again.
Now this is important not just for study, but because I process so much information on a weekly basis that I need to start managing it and remembering it.
I am also created a networked environment for my safeguarding volunteers - but that has to be private at the moment, so I will be sharing some of my content here, and reaching out to my safeguarding colleagues.
Should I have a separate blog for each of my fields of interest? I am not sure yet. I think there is a crossover in what I do, but I realise that online learning (study and practice) doesn't always link with safeguarding and e-safety (work and practice). So we will see how it goes and decide whether it's better to separate them out. Surely with good labelling and links it will work.

Anyhow, I am determined to make blogging work for me this time, just as twitter now works for me in my extended network. Hopefully this can help me to develop my online authorship!
